Evergreen Christian School has successfully undergone a preliminary assessment of our entire school program and been accepted as a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). We anticipate receiving the official offer of accreditation by the Spring of 2024.

For more than 125 years, MSA-CESS has been a leading accreditation agency for public, private, and faith-based educational institutions in the U.S. and around the world. They are committed to helping schools meet their goals, advance professional development, and promote student achievement.

“It is quite an accomplishment to make it to this phase in the accreditation process in just under two years as a school, and it means we are well on our way to securing full accreditation before our first graduating class,” said Head of School Michael Dewey. “To be recognized by an organization as reputable as MSA shows we have already established a quality program that is respected by members of the larger educational community. It also demonstrates to our parents and students that we are fully committed to improving and establishing Evergreen as a premier Christian high school.”

On February 12 and 13, 2024, MSA representatives visited our campus and conducted a full review of our curriculum, school policies, as well as our teaching faculty. After interviewing parents, students, board members, and staff, they have recommended ECS for full accreditation without any stipulations. This is the highest recommendation that MSA awards. Their report has already been forwarded to MSA’s Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools which will make the official pronouncement of accreditation later this semester. Once we are notified, our MSA accreditation will be for a period of seven years.
