Choosing the right school for your high school student is an important decision. At ECS, God is at the center of every subject. The body of Christ (parents, educators, church leaders, and community members) is enjoined to raise the next generation to be winsome ambassadors of Christ, and Evergreen Christian School has been founded in accordance with that purpose. We invite you to schedule a visit to learn more and tour our campus.
For the last five years, ECS has sponsored EagleFest to grow our community, expand our competition events, connect with friends and families, and raise funds for our students and staff and the programs and opportunities that make ECS such a special place. What began five years ago as a simple cross-country event has grown into a vibrant, community-wide celebration that brings schools, families, athletes, and friends together for a full day of competition, fellowship, fun, and fundraising.

ECS Blog
One of the most misunderstood Essential Questions that our students address is, “What is the Christian response to critical theory?” Many parents, as well as students, have likely wondered why Evergreen tackles such topics in their Christian Studies classes. Isn’t critical theory a bit too philosophical for our students to be discussing in a class that should be focused on the Bible? These are valid questions, as the topic of critical theory sounds a little abstract; it appears at first to not be a practical topic for young people to spend time studying. It is actually one of the most practical and useful topics for our students to discuss, especially since the majority of them will be attending college after high school. Because of this, it is an essential question that we must urgently address from a Christian worldview perspective.
As well-known author, pastor, and broadcaster Vernon McLellan wisely observed, "What the new year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year." This sentiment echoes Galatians 6:7-9, where we are reminded that “whatever one sows, that will he also reap” (ESV). With this in mind, I would like to offer a few challenges to the 197 students we currently have enrolled. My hope and prayer are that as we begin this new year, we will sow the kind of seeds that will ensure a rich harvest of growth and achievement in the months ahead.
God not only employs all of the power of Heaven in fighting for us, but he ensures that the victory is forever kept. Hence, the title of this great hymn: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. The message should be clear––we have not accomplished anything. All the glory is God’s! The full story of Evergreen is God’s story.
