Our very own Gabe Hockstra (Class of 2025) (shown at left next to College and Career Advisor Dr. McCurdy) is quickly making his mark at the University of Notre Dame. In just his first year as a college student, Gabe has already been a featured writer in The Irish Rover, one of the many on-campus student publications at the school. Gabe reported on a recent stage performance of the C. S. Lewis-inspired play Further Up & Further In. Fans of the Chronicles of Narnia series will recognize the title from a line Lewis penned in The Last Battle. The play was created by award-winning actor Max McClean, who is the founder and artistic director of the Fellowship of Performing Arts based in New York City. The FPA’s mission is to produce plays and films from a Christian worldview perspective. In addition to Further Up & Further In, McClean has adapted and directed The Screwtape Letters and starred in FPA’s first film, The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis.
