This is the 35th year for See You at the Pole, a student-initiated and student-led event that started in Burleson, Texas, in1990. It was also the fifth year of SYATP at ECS. SYATP brings students together to intercede for their leaders, schools, and families, asking God to bring moral and spiritual awakening to their campuses and countries—and it couldn’t have come at a more needed time given all that is happening in our nation. As the name indicates, students gathered at school flagpoles or other community locations to pray, ensuring that all around the world in every time zone, for 24 hours, students were praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. This year’s theme was “AWE”, taken from Habakkuk 3:2. Two of our ECC leaders, seniors Brodie F. and Jaden C., led in prayer and the reading of Scripture. Another senior, Andrew H., led in songs of worship. Before heading back into the school, we split up into small groups and spent time in intentional prayer for one another. We are so thankful to serve a God who hears our prayers—big and small.
