Employment Philosophy
Faculty and staff are a vital and valued component of the Evergreen Christian School family, and we seek individuals who are committed to fulfilling the school's mission and vision with excellence. A career at ECS provides an opportunity to find a fulfilling way to serve the needs of families and children in an inspirational, faith-based educational environment.
Evergreen Christian School is a private, Christian educational organization where every employee is responsible to provide the example, training and encouragement to others for practical Christian living in accordance with biblical standards and the basic religious doctrines of historic, Christian faith. Therefore, as a condition to hiring and to continued employment, an individual must be like-minded spiritually and doctrinally, and be supportive of our school policies, educational philosophies, and faith doctrines.

Lifestyle Statement
Employees of Evergreen Christian School will maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of conduct, including being a member in good standing of a church, and leading a mature Christian life. It is the goal of ECS that each employee will have a lifestyle in alignment with the school’s statement of faith and doctrine and an example of how an individual can live out their Christian commitments in both their professional and personal capacities. Personnel will conduct themselves in a way that will avoid needless controversies and will not raise questions regarding their Christian testimonies. A Christian lifestyle should reflect the biblical perspective of integrity and of appropriate personal and family relationships, business conduct, and moral behavior. An employee is expected to demonstrate a teachable spirit, an ability to share love for others, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18 principle when an issue arises with fellow employees or administration.
Evergreen Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, nationality, or ethnic origin in the hiring of its employees or in the administration of its educational and admissions policies. As a private religious educational organization, however, Evergreen Christian School reserves the right to select employees on the basis of job qualifications, religious commitment, moral lifestyle choices, and personal qualifications, including a willingness to cooperate with Evergreen Christian School administration and to abide by its policies.
