ECS Students Honored at Loudoun 100

Photos of two girls honored at Loudoun 100

Congratulations to ECS students Jems B. and Niya H. who were recognized as Honorees at Loudoun 100, a group of 100 people selected from Loudoun County who have "made an impact or been a hero to the community."

Both girls were given the opportunity a few years ago to learn pottery from a local artist which transformed into their wanting to do more for the community. The artist graciously offered time and resources to teach Niya and Jems to make Christmas ornaments.

Over the past few years, they have made, sold, and donated 100% of the proceeds to local charities: Tree of Life Ministries and Jill's House.

This is a reminder of Jesus' words, "'It is more blessed to give than to receive'" (Acts 20:35).
