The Evergreen Christian Council (ECC) is the school's student government team. Congratulations to the newly elected 2022-2023 members. Ninth grade members will be elected in the fall.

• Grade 11 Representative: Amalia O.
• Grade 10 Representatives: Matthew M., Talan B.
• ECC Chaplain: Jems B.
• Freshman representatives will be elected after the school retreat in September. 

During campaign week, students presented a two-minute speech in front of their peers and had the opportunity to hang campaign posters around the building. The current ECC students also organized a debate for the three students who ran for the office of student body president. 

Before speeches were given, sponsor Juliana Sweeny spoke about what to look for in a leader. These were my recommendations: 

• choose leaders who are wise,
• choose leaders who are committed to truth-telling,
• choose leaders who are honest and not in the habit of flattery,
• choose leaders of good reputation, and 
• choose people who are humble.

She also cautioned them to avoid empty promises - promises they could not keep. They heeded the advice and stayed on topic.
