ECS recognizes that each of our students has been uniquely created by God for his purposes.
As our Evergreen Christian students grow in their grasp of the truth, cultivate character, and embrace a life of service, we trust that they will become more like Christ, and they will be prepared to be salt and light in the world in whatever field God calls them.
By providing information, guidance, and assistance throughout the college search and application process, our goal is to help students discover which college option will offer the academic and social environment that will help them thrive and bring glory to the Lord Jesus.
Evergreen’s goal has always been to develop a program that not only academically and spiritually prepares students to excel in college, but provides them with the tools necessary to be admitted into the college of their choice. We have continued to work closely with our educational partners in developing a first rate program intentionally modeled after Trinity Christian School’s highly successful advising program. Unique to Evergreen will be our year-long college preparation course for sophomores and juniors designed to help them navigate the entire application process, from identifying application targets to strategies for improving entrance exam scores.

College Advisor Janis Pierce
Ms. Janis Pierce is our full-time college advisor. Ms. Pierce has over 40 years of experience in education, both in public and private schools, and at the elementary and high school levels.
In addition to working with Head of School Michael Dewey on college preparation course curriculum, Ms. Pierce invites college and university representatives to visit Evergreen Christian School and to meet with our students. She also attends conferences for college advisors to collaborate with peers and to talk with college representatives. Parent meetings are held to provide more information regarding college admissions.
In 2023, Ms. Pierce fulfilled the multiple requirements for NCAA Eligibility where any ECS student can now register in the NCAA Eligibility Portal.
