Course Selection for Returning ECS Students for 2023-2024 School Year

It’s course selection time! As we prepare for next school year, we need all returning students to let us know which classes they plan on taking. The link below is for the 2023-2024 Course Selection Form. Once the form is completed and submitted, each student will have a one-on-one meeting with Mrs. Gilroy to finalize course choices. These meetings will be scheduled by the school office. Finalized student schedules will be made available after the master schedule has been created.

The process for generating the 2023-2024 Master Class Schedule will begin on March 6 and is based upon student selections. It will take several weeks to build as we make every effort to ensure students are placed in the classes they have selected. Please complete the Course Selection Form by March 3 to guarantee your preferred choices are taken into consideration. While students are free to select Honors or AP classes, final placement is based upon a student’s past performance in prerequisite courses AND teacher recommendation.

We ask all students and parents to prayerfully consider which courses they would like to take. Clikc here to view the updated Academic Course Catalog for 2023-2024. The catalog contains descriptions of each course and the amount of homework students can expect on a weekly basis. We will make every effort to offer a class even if only a handful of students select it. However, some elective courses require a minimum enrollment in order to be successful. If a course is cancelled due to low enrollment, students and parents will be notified so that an alternate selection can be made.
